Dear Friends,

Over the last few weeks during our visit in the US, we have been blessed to meet with many churches, pastors and friends of our ministry, Golden Apple Institute.   Our time in the US came to a close yesterday as we returned to Poland. Our hearts are full of memories of your hospitality and love for us.

After a busy year of ministry, we prayed for a refreshing time away from our home and everyday responsibilities.  The Lord provided more than that during this travel time.

We deeply appreciate all the friends who hosted us and made this trip enjoyable. You are more than friends – you are our family and we cherish every moment we spend together. We are privileged to share our life with you, laugh, sometimes cry and pray together.

We are grateful that we had a memorable and adventurous time as a family. Our son, Dawid, always benefits from being here with all the “uncles and aunties” who entertain him in educational ways. This summer, Dawid learned many new things:  how to tube, fish and use a bow.  He enjoyed visiting a horse farm and touring the Toyota plant.  Not many 10-year-olds experience a wide variety of activities in such a short time!

It was a great honor and joy to be involved in officiating at the wedding of Katelyn Barnett and her fiance, Nolan, in Owensboro.  We have known Katelyn since she was 10 years old when her father brought her to Poland for a mission trip.  We watched her grow up and were blessed to share one of the most special moments in her life at her wedding this past weekend.

Most of all, we are thankful to God for clarifying the mission of our ministry through the course of this summer.  This last year was by far our most successful in our ministry – both in numbers and in terms of impact.  We prayerfully asked ourselves and God, “What’s next? How can we truly make a long-lasting change in our ministry in Poland?”  During our travels, we prayed daily about this clarification.

Over these last few weeks, the answer became amazingly simple:  Equip leaders to be disciple-makers. This is our mission and calling.

Golden Apple is an evangelical organization in Poland that focuses on discipleship through leadership development to pastors, church leaders and marketplace leaders.  We look forward to explaining what this new clarity and outlook means for our ministry this fall.

Thank you so much for being on this journey with us!  We could not do it without your prayers and loving support.

With overflowing hearts,

Wojtek, Angieszka and Dawid
