Dear Friends,
Did you know that according to statistics:
- Less than 5% of Christians in the West will ever share their faith;
- Less than 2% know what the Great Commission commands us to do;
- Far less than 2% (less than 2/100) claim to be participating in the Great Commission.
These statistics are quite shocking. They should be a wake-up call to Christians today. Jesus clearly stated in the Great Commission what our mission is about: “Go and make disciples of all nations.” Matthew 28.
We are so grateful as the Golden Apple Institute for our significant part in fulfilling that mission. We are very excited that a new edition of our School of Biblical Discipleship began this fall with 25 leaders participating in this nine-month training. This current class is a dynamic and gifted group that represents various churches and ministries in Poland. They are united with one goal – to become more effective leaders who make disciples at home, church and community.
We are part of the new national initiative called Evangelical Poland which facilitates two important tracks: one for discipleship-making leaders and one for leadership development. Recently over 70 pastors and leaders of Christian organizations met to discuss evangelism and discipleship strategies for reaching Poland for Jesus. We will continue consultations in December but are already excited about how the Lord moves Evangelical leaders to step forward and make the difference in our nation.
We are also on the leadership team of the Billy Graham’s Chair of Evangelism at the Baptist Theological Seminary in Warsaw. We just started the first edition of the Institute of Evangelism and Discipleship which aims to equip pastors, ministry leaders and lay persons with a deeper knowledge and training in the areas of discipleship, servant leadership and fulfilling the Great Commission.
We are to live the lifestyle of disciple-making every day. That’s why we are so passionate about disciple-making and leadership within our Golden Apple ministry. Thank you for being on this journey with us!
Blessings,
Wojtek and Agnieszka
