Dear Friends,
We are all familiar with the popular slogan: “Think big”. We apply it to our personal lives, to our dreams for a better future or for business decisions we make. Have you ever thought about applying it to your relationship with God?
I’ve learned this important principle over the years of serving God: He is always BIGGER than I think. I will share three practical examples:
EUROPEAN LEADERSHIP FORUM: A few years ago, I went to the European Leadership Forum which is one of the largest events for evangelical leaders in Europe.
I joined the Year-Round Mentoring Group for the leaders of Christian organizations led by Bobb Biehl. It was an amazing year of learning as well as serving others. Bobb is still my mentor (See Endorsements). I am deeply grateful for his investment and leadership in my life. Later, I joined another Year-Round Mentoring Group for Disciple-Making Leaders led by John Musellman who has now invited me to co-lead this network with him. It means that through this year, we will mentor leaders representing eight different nations in Europe and Africa. This is an honor and amazing opportunity.
SCHOOL OF BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP: Last year, it was just a dream to start a discipleship school here in Wroclaw in partnership with the Arkansas Downline Institute. Now we have almost completed Year One.
On June 17, 2019, we will celebrate the graduation of 18 dynamic and committed students! Every student has their own unique story. We clearly see the impact that these students have had within their families, churches and workplaces. We are now recruiting for the new year that opens on September 30, 2019. Please pray that our recruiting efforts will be successful.
RENEWAL FESTIVAL WITH NICK VUJICIC: Last weekend, over 20,000 people gathered at our stadium in Wroclaw for a very large evangelical event. The Covenant of Pastors assisted us in the organization of this event. The Golden Apple Institute was responsible for the main speaker, Nick Vujicic. I translated for Nick, who has overcome incredible physical handicaps.
If you are not familiar with Nick’s story of being born without arms or legs, read how he overcame these difficulties (www.LifeWithout Limbs.org). Nick has an international ministry of witnessing to the power of Christ in his life. Golden Apple also provided training for pastoral care and follow-up after the event. Over 4,000 people responded to desiring spiritual follow-up.
The entire event was live-streamed Sunday, June 2, via www.ODNFestival.pl. We also live-streamed the spiritual outreach functions from a local high school which was transmitted to schools all over the nation!
God is always BIGGER than we think. Apostle Paul concludes his prayer: “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever. Amen! (Ephesians 3:20-21).
