where we serve
The Golden Apple Institute is headquartered in Wroclaw, Poland. Wroclaw is the 4th largest city in Poland, a nation of 38 million people with only a .04% Protestant evangelical presence.
The city of Wroclaw has 700,000 people with only 15 evangelical churches.
It’s so easy to slip into a “minority complex” and think in terms of our overwhelming evangelical challenge as: If only there were more of us; or If only we had more resources; or If only we had greater impact.
However, there is another perspective. Nothing is impossible to God when you trust Him and believe in Him and His possibilities.

Post-Communist Poland
The fall of Communism in 1989 initiated a process of total social transformation in Poland. Wojtek and Agnieszka found God’s call on their lives as Poland emerged from decades of political, social and moral decay.
In his doctoral thesis, Transforming Mission in Post Communist Context, Towards an Integrative Approach, Wojtek began to envision a broader global mission movement. He saw that the Church in Poland required a deeper spiritual change and that mission must be embedded in community in order to transform lives.
All Golden Apple ministry efforts include three important missional elements: Community of Love, Community of Word & Life and Community of Transformation. Read more…
Initially after the fall of Communism, there was a huge spiritual void which provided numerous evangelical opportunities, as people were curious to embrace religion which had been forbidden in other times.
Regrettably, the East is now facing the same opposition and post-Christian influences that are found in Western Europe and the United States: secularism and materialism.
