Dear Friends,
It is never easy to face the sudden storms in our lives. There are many noises and voices fighting for our attention; in the distractions, fear creeps in. For me personally, this is usually the time when I learn how strong the foundation of my life is built on…
Thank you so much for your prayers, messages, cards, flowers and support we received recently during Agnieszka’s surgery. We really appreciate your love and care.
The surgery went well. It was a 2 1/2 hour procedure which cleaned the veins in both of her legs. Agnieszka is at home, enduring some pain but is looking forward to feeling better soon. She is is grateful to have gone through the operation with good doctors. The surgery represents closure on some emotional pain that needed healing in her life.
Awhile ago, Agnieszka had an unusual spiritual dream where she crossed the line into the New Land, which was God’s Land. This quiet place was full of God’s presence, peace and joy. During her dream, she entered a large gate with the number ‘1945’ on top of it. At that time, she understood the date to mean ‘the end of the war’.
Guess what? The day we came back from the surgery, the entry code to our building was changed to ‘1945’. Amazing!
Her pain, the apprehension of the surgery, the thought-provoking dream and the actual operation are all parts of Agnieszka’s spiritual journey to full healing, both spiritually (which started 8 years ago) and now, physically.
The symbol of ‘1945’ is just a beautiful signature of God on her life. It’s amazing to see God at work, breaking the bondage of sins of the past. The end of war! So, although Agnieszka still has much discomfort, we celebrate God’s victory!
Please continue praying for Agnieszka’s health and her full recovery. Also, please pray for me as I am a full time nurse to my dear wife, that I will be a good father to my son and at the same time, I can continue with my daily responsibilities.
I am physically tired since I didn’t get much rest in recent weeks, but spiritually, I know this is a season which will make us stronger in every aspect of our lives.
This morning, I read 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 and was deeply encouraged by these words:
For this reason, we never become discouraged. Even though our physical being is gradually decaying, yet our spiritual being is renewed day after day. And this small temporary trouble we suffer will bring us a tremendous and eternal glory, much greater than the trouble. For we fix our attention, not on things that are seen, but on things that are unseen. What can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts for ever.
As followers of Christ we are called to focus on an invisible reality which has a deep impact on who we are and what we do with our lives.
Thank you so much for being on this journey with us.
In Him,
Wojtek and Agnieszka
