As we traveled around the USA this summer, we enjoyed deep fellowship with many friends. We are so grateful for the blessings these relationships bring to our lives.
Some of our American friends are missionaries who lived in Poland years ago. In those years, we had the privilege of serving together and sharing spiritual challenges and growth , as well as many unforgettable moments.
John and Jam Strimple served as IMB missionaries in our region and played a very important role in our lives during the early days of our ministry in Wroclaw. They helped with our ‘great home make over’ for our first apartment when we moved to the inner city area where our church was based. It was God’s miracle! That project was the beginning of a long lasting friendship.
Jeremy and Laura Vincent and Scott and 
Jackie Newman were pioneers in the student ministry at our church. Even now in Poland, this vibrant and transformative student ministry continues and is a huge blessing to our church. The youth they served and mentored years ago are now taking over different ministries both in our church and beyond.
Now these missionaries are back in the US, in various pastoral positions in Broadway United Methodist Church in Bowling Green. Time is moving on – they have their own kids! We stayed in their home in Bowling Green in July and enjoyed reminiscenceing about many memories that are still very special to us.
We had a wonderful visit with Lyndol Barnett’s family from Owensboro, KY. In a time of sharing, the Barnetts and other short-term missionaries who had served in Poland recalled how these mission trips impacted their lives and how they still pray for our nation.
This summer, it has been a enriching privilege to be in the presence of many friends and former missionaries who share our heart and passion for God. They understand our vision and heart for the Pastors2Pastors ministry in Poland. Their continued faithfulness to help us carry the burden through prayers, love and support is an awesome gift from God!
